Our company provides advanced CFD-based ventilation diagnostics for shortwall and room-and-pillar operations, enabling mine sites to identify and eliminate hazardous airflow recirculation before it affects face ventilation performance. Drawing on outcomes from industry trials at a NSW Colliery, our technology quantifies recirculation pathways through the goaf and hang-up zones and delivers evidence-based control solutions such as optimised duct placement and discharge-duct extensions. The approach allows operators to validate auxiliary fan configurations, assess the impact of goaf conditions and cutting sequences, and implement low-cost engineering controls to improve airflow efficiency, reduce contaminant build-up, and enhance the resilience of shortwall ventilation systems under varying operating conditions.
